I've recently been doing some research and have found some interesting statistics!
$48 out of every $100 spent at a small business stays local.
37% of Americans made an effort to shop local in 2020.
72% of Americans prioritized shopping local over getting the best deal.
4.3 million new business applications were filed in 2020.
It takes 4 days to start a business in the US.
Most small business owners don't have a college degree.
29% of small business owners start their own business to be their own boss.
50% of all US businesses operate from home.
Which of these statistics strikes you the most?

I also know from many years of personal experience that many people won’t take the simple steps necessary to start their own business because:
They find technology, even that of their mobile devices such as their smart phones and tablets, confusing, intimidating and overwhelming.
They don’t know how to get the word out about their business.
They’ve always worked for someone else and are uncertain how to even begin trying to do something for themselves.
They don’t have office experience of any kind and are intimidated by the idea of having to figure it all out.
They don’t even begin to know where or how to start with things like social media - which ones to use, how to start, what to share.
They know that they’re going to need to have graphics, a website, a way to take payments, bookkeeping to prep for taxes and more, but they don’t know where to begin.
And so much more!
