If you don’t have your own dōTERRA account yet, pardon us for just one Blog post as we do a little bit of “Housekeeping”! (Although you are welcome to keep reading to learn with us, if that’s of interest!)
If you DO have your own account, you may have noticed that about a week ago we were gifted a new, updated, clean-looking shopping experience on the website. But, if you are like many of our team members, change is sometimes a challenge! So, to make things a little easier, as is the purpose of this ENTIRE website, jump into this post and learn some of the tips and tricks to navigate these new and improved pages! I’ll forewarn you that this is a LONG post, but we’re going to go step by step and show you pictures, so I really believe it is worth your time! :)
First, let’s talk about getting there! (This might help some of our newer account holders and team members. If this is a “piece of cake” to you, feel free to skip ahead a bit!) Start by going to www.doterra.com and you’ll see this screen:
In the upper right hand corner of this screen where you see the icon that looks like a head and torso and says “account” click on the icon to show the drop-down box that you see pictured here:
Click on the “login” button and type in either your email address or your Account ID # (Wellness ID or Wholesale Customer ID #) and password in the appropriate areas as shown here:
Click on “Login”. If you have an LRP template set up that you have used in the past or that is awaiting an update for this month’s order, your screen will look like this and you’ll click on “Update Products” to update your order:
OR if you don’t yet have an LRP template set up and want to go ahead and set yours up to take full advantage of all of the benefits of the Loyalty Rewards Program (learn more about that in the “How to Get the Most of Your Membership” part of Oil Camp, found in the Team Holtz tab of my new website at www.carolholtz.com - shoot me an email message to get the password as long as I am part of your dōTERRA upline! If you’re not sure about that, send me an email message to check on that - either way, you can message me here: https://www.carolholtz.com/contactme) your screen will look like this:
To create a new LRP order, click on the “Create New LRP” text. If you want to create a one-time order, click on the appropriate button, remembering that to be eligible to earn points back toward free product and 100% of your shipping costs back in points toward free product, you will want to place your orders as LRP orders and then proceed with the steps below the area setting up the order date for LRP orders! When you click to create a new Loyalty Rewards Program order, this is what you’ll see next on the screen:
This screen also offers a reminder of the benefits of having your LRP order process between the 1st and 15th of each month. If those orders are at least 125 PV, you will be eligible to receive a FREE oil each month! So, if you are interested in the possibility, be sure to choose a date between the 1st and 15th of the month. (If for some reason none of those dates are available, contact a Silver or above leader in your upline so they can check on what can be done to fix that for you, or use the “Contact me” section of www.carolholtz.com to let me help you with that, if you are a part of my downline.) Choose the date you want your monthly order to process and keep scrolling down on the page with the available dates until you see…
The Save Date and Shop button as seen above. (You’ll notice the reminders of what the different colors mean on this calendar). After clicking the “Save Date and Shop”' button, you’ll see this screen next:
You can now either click on one of the categories listed on this page OR use the search bar (with the magnifying glass) to type in the name or part of the name of an item to search for the items you wish to add to your order.
Next, choose the items that you would like to add to your cart. As you add items to your cart, you’ll notice that the “Item total” and PV amounts will change in the column on the right hand side of the page. You’ll want to make sure that you pay attention to both amounts, remembering that there are differences between the two and that to qualify for different incentives with dōTERRA, the PV amount makes a difference! For example, your PV has to be at least 50 or more to earn points on your LRP order, it has to be 100 PV or more to be eligible for Fast Start Bonuses if you are building a business and it has to be 125 PV or more between the 1st and the 15th of the month and be an LRP order to earn the free POM (Product of the Month). Most of us have missed out on something that we really wanted because we missed the difference between the $ and the PV amount on our orders, so take note of that early on and hopefully you won’t ever have to join that “club”!
As you are adding items to your order, if you have points in your account that can be used to pay for some of them, there will be a drop-down box that you can use to select the option to use points. You have an option, if you have the points available to use, to purchase more than one of any given item in your cart with points. Simply use the arrow in the box to activate the drop-down to choose how many you want to purchase with points. You will not be able to choose more items than you have points for! MAKE SURE, if you used points, that your total PV is still what you need it to be before moving on to checkout!
Also, be sure that if you are building a business with dōTERRA, are a Wellness Advocate and the products that you are ordering are intended for your personal or your immediate family’s use and not for resale you have selected the box that says “For Personal Use”. (Wholesale Customers or Retail orders will not have this option, as they are not authorized to purchase our products at Wholesale and resell them to other people!) This changes the amount withheld for sales tax and dōTERRA files those for you so that you don’t have to if you are reselling items purchased! Yet ANOTHER convenience that they offer those of us who are building businesses.
I also encourage you to allow dōTERRA to add at least $1 (if not more) to each of your orders for a Healing Hands Donation! Check out this page for information on what all those donations go to do: https://www.doterra.com/US/en/healing-hands-main . It’s a pretty incredible program, making a difference in lives all over the world!
Next, scroll down on the page to the Payment area. It will look like this:
NOTE: If you look closely at the picture above, you’ll see at the very top left edge of the picture and area that says “Manage Order Date”. If you need to change the date on your order, this is what you’ll look for to make the change. Keep in mind that changing the date can affect any “freebies” that you might be interested in earning, so make sure you stay within the date range that is needed to earn those things if you change the date!
Also at the very top of the picture above you’ll notice the area where you can change your delivery options. Simply choose the “bubble” by the option you wish to use to change it.
Next, if you need to make any changes to the card that you are using to make the payment, delivery address or email address for notifications, click on the arrow at the far right side of the appropriate box and follow the prompts to make the needed changes.
Scroll back up or down to the spot on the page that either looks like this (for a one-time order):
Or like this if you are processing a Loyalty Rewards Program order. If it is an LRP order, you will have an option to either “Process Now” or “Save and Process” on your scheduled LRP processing date. It’s important to know that if you are planning to order any Special Offers, sometimes called Limited Time Offers (such as Holiday Gift orders, Mothers and Fathers Day Offers, BOGOs or any other special offers), you will need to be ready to complete and process the order at the time that you finish making any changes or setting up the order. The system will not allow you to save those offers and process them later. Also, if you are placing an order with special offers as an LRP order (and I ENCOURAGE you to do that so that you can earn any points possible on the PV amount of your order), you will need to have at least one additional regular priced item or item regularly in the oils and product catalog in your cart when you process your order.
Once you have selected the button to process your order, you will see a page pop up that looks like this. This page is your last chance to review your order before it actually processes. Once you’ve gone past this page, making any changes is HIGHLY unlikely and totally based on timing, so you’ll want to thoroughly review this page for any errors or changes that need to be made! Review your order, confirm and submit the order and you’ll be all set! To confirm that it went through correctly, you should receive a confirmation email very quickly after completing the process.
If this was an LRP order, it will save the “template” for this order and you can either process the exact same order next month or jump back in at any time to add to or adjust your order. REMEMBER that if you are building a business with dōTERRA, in order to be eligible to receive Fast Start Bonuses you’ll need to maintain a template that shows your plan to place at least a 100 PV order each month and your actual orders will need to total at least 100 PV by the end of each month to keep any Fast Start Bonuses that you receive!
